Preliminary Round (In-Person)

Every participant must email their 3 minute sound-track (with an exception, cultural performances can be 4 minutes) to cultural@riicas.org (YouTube link or any Drive link is also acceptable). Upon acceptance by cultural team, participants can perform on a stage in-front of Judges. Judgement Criteria will be based on Content, Execution, Style, Props / background.

Grand-Finale (In-Person)

Every participant must submit their 3 minute sound-track using this form. Upon acceptance by cultural team, participants can perform on a stage in-front of Judges.

Rules: Performance wise, same rules as that of Preliminary 1st round. Same song/dance can be used.

Winning Categories

  • $600 Grand Prize winner is by category “Bolywood, Classical, Singing” given to best performance voted by judges. (A minimum of 20 performers need to compete in each category for prize money to be in-place)
  • upto $350 RIICAS People’s Choice Award (every participant including first round performers eligible)
  • upto $350 RIICAS Facebook Popular Award (every participant including first round performers eligible)
  • RIICAS IDOL (Singing) – Pre-Kid
  • RIICAS IDOL (Singing) – Kid
  • RIICAS IDOL (Singing) – Junior
  • RIICAS IDOL (Singing) – Teen
  • RIICAS IDOL (Singing) – Open
  • RIICAS Dancing Star (Bollywood) – Pre-Kid
  • RIICAS Dancing Star (Bollywood) – Kid
  • RIICAS Dancing Star (Bollywood) – Junior
  • RIICAS Dancing Star (Bollywood) – Teen
  • RIICAS Dancing Star (Bollywood) – Open

Age Categories

  • Pre-Kid – Upto Age 5
  • Kid – Ages 6-8
  • Pre-Teen – Ages 9-12
  • Teen – Ages 13-17
  • Adult – 18+

E-Voting Rules

  • upto $350 RIICAS People’s Choice Award (every participant including first round performers eligible)
  • Every DRD participant (Not just Grand Finalist) is eligible for this E-Voting.
  • Vote for your favourite participant here Deadline to vote – September 18th 2025 (link will be available after registrations are closed & participants are finalized).
  • Voter must be part of the FREE RIICAS group at riicas.org/whatsapp
  • participant with highest total number of Votes declared as “RIICAS People’s Choice Award Winner”
  • prize money will be calculated based on # votes received (not exceeding $350)
  • If invalid emails are used to get votes, RIICAS has every right to disqualify the nominee.

FaceBook Poll Rules

  • upto $350 RIICAS Facebook Popular Award (every participant including first round performers eligible)
  • 2 flyers & 2 posts can be combined. 1 DRD flyer & 1 Diwali flyer (Only 1 post likes for each flyer are counted. so, maximum 2 post likes combined together) – Both Flyers listed below.
  • Deadline to poll – August 21st 2025 11:59 PM (DRD flyer) and September 18th for Diwali/Diwali/Dandiya flyer
  • Every DRD participant (Not just Grand Finalist) is eligible for this poll
  • Participant can write a post on their wall similar to following details in their own words –
    DANCE RIICAS DANCE 2025 participant in category <whichever category you are competing>
  • Attach RIICAS DRD 2025 event flyer (for DRD) and Attach RIICAS Diwali/Dandiya/GrandFinale 2025 event flyer (for Grand Finale) to your post and encourage your friends & family to be part of the show
  • Your post must tag RIICAS INDIA facebook account https://www.facebook.com/riicas.houston.3
  • Participant with highest total number of Likes declared as “RIICAS Facebook Popular Award winner. Only 1 post likes (per event) are counted but not multiple links (for same event) in your FB wall or from multiple forwards.
  • You must send an email to cultural@riicas.org with a screenshot of your post & total likes before August 21st mid night for DRD flyer and September 18th for Diwali/Dandiya flyer (Subject of email should read – participant name, for Facebook poll)
  • prize money will be calculated based on # of total likes received (not exceeding $350)
  • If Facebook BOTS are used to get more likes/votes, RIICAS has every right to disqualify the nominee.

* DRD disclaimers

  • Refunds are not issued with some exceptions approved by RIICAS board
  • As per RIICAS board, cancellations are not accepted during last week before competition starts.
